About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Account Executive to support the
servicing and development of a portfolio of construction clients based in Ascot Vale, Melbourne.
This role is ideal for a proactive insurance professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, supporting complex insurance programs, and working closely with senior brokers to deliver high‑quality outcomes. You will play a key role across the full policy lifecycle while developing your technical broking capability within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a portfolio of construction client accounts, with a strong focus on relationship building and client retention.
- Support and manage pre‑renewal, renewal, and post‑renewal activities, including quotations, endorsements, certificates of currency, invoicing, and the preparation of renewal reports.
- Assist with complex renewals to ensure deadlines are met and clients’ evolving insurance
needs are addressed.
- Attend client meetings alongside Senior Account Executives or Broking Managers as required.
- Assist with reviewing client risks and insurance coverage to support appropriate and effective insurance solutions.
- Provide support in underwriting submissions and placement activities across Contract Works/CAR, Liability, Plant and Equipment, Motor Fleet, and other related construction insurance lines.
- Work closely with the in‑house Claims Manager to support timely and equitable claims outcomes for clients.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Senior Brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with identifying and supporting new business opportunities, including proposals, tender responses, and client presentations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, file notes, and compliance records in line with ASIC, AFSL, and internal governance requirements.

Qualifications/Skills
- Tier 1 or Diploma-level qualification in Insurance Broking is advantageous.
- Sound Knowledge of Microsoft office programs including Excel and Word
- Experience with Broking Systems such as Insight, Winbeat and OfficeTech
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadline including invoicing procedures and file management
